We're rolling out new features which enable teachers to have their own unique logins
Saving teachers’ time is at the heart of MyiMaths and for the past few months we’ve been working on a change that will unlock a wealth of time-saving features. We are taking the first step towards this with the release of individual teacher accounts which will enable all teachers at a school to have their own unique account and login credentials.
Not only will individual teacher accounts enable you to do everything you need, from finding the best resources for your class, allocating them to your students, and viewing their answers and results within the Teacher Dashboard, moving to individual accounts will significantly improve the protection of your students’ data. By negating the need to share teacher passwords we collectively ensure that in a growing age of cyber threat that your students’ data is even more secure.
With individual teacher accounts you can set your own password and login to the Teacher Dashboard with your email address making it more memorable and personalised. Should you forget your Teacher Dashboard details you’ll also be able to trigger a forgotten password process, saving you time so you no longer need to follow up with someone at your school.
The roll out of individual accounts paves the way for the future development of more time-saving personalisation features such as “My Classes” that will allow you to find your specific classes more quickly, easily allocate work to them, and see their results. Some of the other changes being explored include teacher notifications and a personalised “My Feed” to help you better stay on top of your classes’ activity.
Given the benefits for you and your school in making your students’ data more secure, we strongly advise setting these up as soon as you can; it’s quick, easy, and the first step to a better, more personalized teacher experience.
Setting up individual teacher accounts can be done using your school’s existing Teacher Dashboard login. Simply go to the Admin area and in the Teachers section follow the instructions to add new teachers. These are just some of the suggestions we’ve received from teachers and we’re keen to hear from you how you’d like MyiMaths to offer a better personalised experience. Please get in touch to share your recommendations at mail@myimaths.com.
